INGREDIENTS
- 500g MILD BRIYANIsauce
- 1kg lamb or chicken,pieces
- 3-4 large potatoes
- 30ml oil
- ¼ teaspoon egg yellow powder
- +/- ½ cup lentils
- 2 cups rice tastic or
- 3 cups Bismati rice
- 125g butter cut into cubes
- Salt for rice & potatoes
DIRECTIONS

Preparation:
- Marinate meat or chicken overnight in sauce.
- Peel and cut potatoes into wedges and deep fry in oil.
- Remove and sprinkle with a 1/2 of the egg yellow powder & season with salt.
- Separately parboil lentils and rice with salt (1 tsp of salt for every cup of rice or lentils)
For Lamb
- Heat oil on high. Add meat and cook for 15 mins uncovered.
- Reduce heat to low and cook for 40 mins covered.
- Layer potatoes, then lentils, and rice on top of meat.
- Place butter cubes on top and sprinkle with egg yellow powder.
- Simmer on low for 30 mins until potatoes and meat are soft. No liquid should be seen at the bottom of
the pot.
Please note: [500g meat if using 200g sauce] Carefully note the quantity of meat used & use sauce
accordingly
